Volunteer Opportunities: Building Expansion and Renovation

As we prepare to move into our new building, we have several projects that need to be completed to create a welcoming and functional space for our church family. From expanding our entrance to improving our worship areas, these efforts will help us better serve our growing community. We are asking God to provide the necessary resources as we aim to raise $14,000 to bring these renovations to completion.

DEMOLITION and Expansion

We have two key expansion projects to complete before moving in. The first involves extending and transforming the front entrance into a lobby and seating area for our Hospitality and Connect ministries. This space will offer opportunities to greet newcomers, connect with others before service, and provide information on Storehouse McAllen and our Storehouse Kids check-in process.

The second project focuses on the top floor, where we plan to remove a few walls to expand two classrooms. This will help better accommodate our growing elementary classes on Sunday mornings.

Worship Space Improvements

Ceiling Fan Replacement – In the worship space, we plan to update the ceiling fans to improve air circulation, ensuring a cooler and more comfortable atmosphere during services.

Soundproofing the Ceiling – A major project we’re working on is soundproofing the ceiling above the worship space. This will prevent sound from traveling between floors, ensuring that our services are undisturbed by the activity in kids' classes and vice versa.

Painting Projects

Painting will be our most time-consuming task. We plan to paint the lobby, kids’ classrooms, cry room, worship space, and bathrooms. This will refresh the building and create a welcoming atmosphere throughout.

Misc. Improvements

There are several small tasks that need to be accomplished from replacing lighting to power washing the outside of the building in addition to wall mounts for our TVs and speakers and replacing dated cables.
