INTERNSHIP PROGRAM

Storehouse Community Church internships and residencies are one to two year programs that are designed to develop leaders in their character, competency, and conviction. Our prayer is that our interns and residents would grow in their understanding and love of Christ by serving on staff in the local church.

When we planted Storehouse McAllen part of our vision was and still is to see men and women making disciples and being equipped to be sent on mission, advancing the gospel of Christ through proclamation and practice. These internships or residencies and your commitment is the working of that vision.

Interns and Residents serve in one of two levels. Level One is a non-paid internship or residency where individuals voluntarily work or serve no more than 5-10 hours per week. Level Two internship and residencies are normally part-time opportunities where individuals work no more than 15-20 hours per week and also have the opportunity (and receive training) to raise financial support to meet expenses. Each program is an immersive experience in the following:

CHARACTER
Storehouse Community interns are challenged to mature in their personal lives and through healthy relationships in a way that is consistent with scripture. They will be actively involved in personal discipleship; both in their walk with the Lord and in their area of ministry.

CONVICTION
Storehouse Community interns are challenged to grow in their understanding of God and Scripture along with how to minister in the church and in the world. Through reading assignments and theological development, participants grow in biblical conviction.

COMPETENCY
Storehouse Community interns will receive valuable ministry experience in the context of the local church.
